Trixbox is a feature-rich open source IP (Internet Protocol) PBX (Private Branch Exchange) application based on Asterisk designed for small- to medium-sized businesses. Trixbox offers all the benefits of a proprietary phone system, without the associated hardware fees.

Trixbox runs on top of Linux, allowing the use of older, standard PC hardware as an office phone system.

HUDlite is a small desktop application that further enhances the Trixbox solution. HUDlite provides the ability to monitor incoming and outgoing calls on your PC; drag calls to other stations, to voice mail, and cell phones.

HUDlite also provides an integrated chat capability to make office communications even easier.
